Warehouse preparation and real time fleet routing for medium sized distribution system

Abstract This paper shows a case study related to a food distribution firm located at Fortaleza/CE, which sells more them 1300 itens of goods for more them 8.000 small customers located at the states of Ceará, Paraíba and Rio Grande do Norte. Our study shows the problems related to the preparation of the warehouse and all the process of real time distribution, considering the strategies related to the customers needs of service, resources of stuff and fleet at home. We discuss also some of the directions the firm is considering, to make a better approach of its customers. |
